Dina Meyer is an New York native who was raised within Forest Hills Queens. She made the move to Dix Hills Long Island just when she was finishing her junior high. Her siblings include two younger ones and a brother who is older. She started her career in the field of entertainment at nine and was modeling. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she started studying Sanford Meisner's acting techniques for approximately three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are among the actors who have received the same type of instruction. She was cast in Beverly Hills 90210, and was forced to relocate to Los Angeles to take the lead role. After landing the lead role on Johnny Mnemonic where she did all of the stunts herself, she positioned herself as an actress who is athletic. Her agent for talent was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able score a recurring role on Friends.
